1. Upcoming Meeting
The January meetings are scheduled for Mondays, 1/2 and 1/16 at 7PM in the Rappahannock Room. Can’t go? That’s ok. We’ll sit around and talk about you. (No, we won’t.)
2. Topics
We had several topics left over from our last meeting as we sat as friends and talked about holiday traditions and other casual conversation. I quite enjoyed that and am repeating some of the previous topics in case we’d like to discuss them.
2022 saw the release of additional records from the investigation into President Kennedy’s assassination. You can click on individual documents in the National Archives at https://www.archives.gov/research/jfk/release2022?page=1. There’s an article about it on CNN’s site at https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/15/politics/jfk-assassination-documents/index.html.
Where were you when Kennedy died? What do you remember most about that time? Do you think about it as you consider the contentious times in which we live?
An interesting article on science.org entitled “Gut microbes make mice exercise more. Might they do the same in humans?” explained gut bacteria and the possible effect of antibiotics on our motivation to exercise. https://www.science.org/content/article/gut-microbes-make-mice-exercise-more-might-they-do-same-humans NOTE: you can read up to 3 articles for free on this website so make good use of it.

Please bring a list of any of the following:
- favorite websites
- your subscription magazines - how did you choose and what’s important to you about them?
- names of a few books you’ve recently read
- have you recently read an article of interest? What was it about?
We’ll use the list to determine topics.
I hope to see you Monday night. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2023!
