Mailing for July 21 Meeting

 Hi, All.

I hope you’re well.

We all get a lot of email and if you would like to be removed from my personal email list, please just let me know.

You don’t need to be a member to enjoy our resources and information posted on our website at https://table-talk-celebrate.blogspot.com. Some posts include previous topics or suggestions.

We have a small group, room for more, and it’s one of the activities people can join if they’re still working. All are welcome! Meetings are scheduled for the following Mondays at 7PM in the Rappahannock Room.

July 21
August 4
August 18

On June 7 we talked about:
  • travel plans and places, local and far, far away
  • Yogaville for yoga and meditation https://www.yogaville.org/
  • a farm where you can pick cherries - the name I wrote didn’t come up in a web search but you can find cherry farms on Yelp. I inserted Manassas as the location https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Cherry+Picking+Farm&find_loc=Manassas%2C+VA+20110
  • there’s a Holy Cross Retreat a few people were familiar with https://www.virginiatrappists.org/
  • a cheese farm near Shenandoah was mentioned but we didn’t have the name. A Google search brought this result "Mountain Branch Creamery Happy Creek Cheeses and George's Mill Farm Artisan Cheese”
  • Marker Miller Orchards Farm Market in Winchester offers fresh fruits for picking along with a store https://www.markermillerorchards.com/
  • Inglewood Farm in Bealton is the one where people go to get corn. Watch for announcements.  https://pickyourown.farm/farm/inglewood-farm-12554/
  • recommended the Black Sheep Restaurant in Manassas. Beautiful restaurant, food is excellent, and they have outdoor concerts in the summer, a brewery and I don’t  know what else! https://theblacksheeprestaurant.com/
  • you can visit Burnside Farms in the Spring for the tulips and late Summer/Fall for the sunflowers. Purchase admission on their website. You pick a few flowers for free and pay for more. Gorgeous fields! https://www.burnsidefarms.com/
  • the biting dog and upcoming trial and now there’s a swimming dog (outside pool, inside exercise room) that has been reported but no response yet. Biting dog update: they went to court, the owner was fined $250 and told to control the dog. More info is on the community Facebook page.
  • discussed Medicare choices, sifting through options and some of the difficulties
  • Netflix TV series "Dept Q" and “Younger”
As always, bring your own topics!

I hope to see you soon.

Cheers,

Marcia
