 Hi, All.

I hope you’re well.

We all get a lot of email and if you would like to be removed from my personal email list, please just let me know. If you receive mailings via our Celebrate website’s forum, only you can control those mailings.

2. Recap and Topic suggestions for our upcoming meeting

I have to admit that although I took notes, we were just back from our trip and I have no idea where I put the notes. This will likely go on for some time as grief can do that to you. Maybe we can talk about grief if you want and, if you want more direct support, there is a grief group meeting monthly. I would like to add that moments of kindness are helpful, even if they are fleeting. Helping Hands organized a mailing of sympathy cards delivered mostly by mail, sometimes in person. I don’t know all of the people who sent us cards but sincerely appreciate their time. I did write to Juanita and thanked her and her team.

There have been many people who know of our loss, some express their sympathy, others skip over the topic as if we can just ignore it. I can’t do that. If you don’t know what to say, try these options: “I’m so sorry for your loss.” or “Is there anything I can do to help you?” Personally, I would thank you for either one although realistically there isn’t anything you can do to help. It really is the thought that matters. For people who lost someone a while ago, it’s considerate to ask how they’re doing as they’re undergoing a huge change in their lives.

I do remember we talked again about the Board of Directors and our HOA management company. Timely stuff as there were 2 decisions that upset me in the meeting Thursday. If you want to talk about it, please remind me.

What else is on your mind? Do you have some tips, websites, podcasts or books to share? What’s on your mind?

Please bring a list of any of the following:

  • favorite websites
  • your subscription magazines - how did you choose and what’s important to you about them?
  • names of a few books you’ve recently read
  • summary of recent articles of interest
  • topics on your mind

We’ll use the list to determine topics.

I hope to see you on Monday, July 1.

Regards,

Marcia
